By Prince Moore

A St. Thomas woman who was charged jointly with a man, following the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition last month, was on Monday granted bail when she appeared before the Parish Court.

Ladonna McLean was granted bail in the sum of $250,000 with surety.

She is to return to court on February 20 next year.

McLean's co-accused, Duran Foster, was remanded.

Her attorney, Hensley Williams, told the court that his client was asleep on November 16, when about 4 a.m. she was awoken by the police who informed her that they found a gun and ammunition outside her house.

Both Foster and McLean, of White Horses in St. Thomas, were charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and possession of ganja.

According to the police, a team was on operation when they observed Foster discarding an object.

The item was a revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition.
