The police have arrested the stepfather of one-year-old Steven West who was found dead at his home in Pedro River, Crofts Hill, Clarendon almost two months ago.
The man was arrested on Tuesday and is being questioned.
It's reported that the toddler died in the care of his stepfather on March 28, while his mother had gone to Kingston for a doctor's appointment.
The stepfather told investigators that he was asleep when Steven fell from the bed.
However, Radio Jamaica News has been informed that the post mortem result is not consistent with his statement.
