Taxi operator facing attempted murder charge following incident with another driver

A 42-year-old taxi operator is facing a charge of attempted murder following an altercation with another taxi driver on Caledonia Road in Mandeville, Manchester on Thursday morning.
About 10 o'clock, the men were soliciting passengers in the vicinity of the Mandeville Regional Hospital when it's reported that an argument developed between the two over a passenger.
One of the men went to his car and returned with a piece of board.
He allegedly hit the taxi operator several times in the head and upper body, causing him to fall to the ground. 
He then drove over the taxi operator, resulting in him sustaining several broken bones and fractures. 
The injured man has been admitted to hospital in serious condition.
