Thirteen Hampton students affected by lightning strike

Thirteen students at the Hampton School in St. Elizabeth were affected by a lightning strike on Wednesday.
The students were taken to the Mandeville Hospital where five of them were admitted Wednesday night for observation.
They have since been released.
About 3 p.m. the students were in a club meeting in a classroom when the lightning struck the building during heavy rain.
It is reported that some of the students fell to the ground and began hyperventilating.
