The Police High Command has raised the threat level for violence against members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) to high.
This follows what it calls coordinated attacks against police officers and their families last night.
In a statement today, the JCF said there were three such incidents since last night. Three men have been taken into custody in connection with the incidents.
The JCF says it is unable to disclose details due to the sensitive nature of the high level investigation.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Police Federation Sergeant Patrae Rowe is urging members to be extremely vigilant in carrying out their duties.
