Three houses damaged by gas explosion in Cooreville Gardens

Three houses on Bob Marley Boulevard in Cooreville Gardens, St. Andrew were damaged Friday afternoon by a gas explosion.
 
It is reported that the explosion occurred while a truck was delivering cooking gas at an establishment in the community.
 
There is no report of injury.
 
Emeleo Ebanks, Public Relations Officer for the Jamaica Fire Brigade, told Radio Jamaica News that firefighters from the Half-Way-Tree, Trench Town, and York Town stations responded to a call shortly after 3 o'clock.
 
More than 20 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
 
The explosion was reportedly caused by a rupture in the gas line between the truck and the establishment it was delivering to.
