Jamaica's death toll from COVID-19 swelled to 425 on Sunday as another three patients died from the viral disease.
There were also 336 new infections, taking the total to 23,599 since the start of the pandemic in Jamaica. The first case was confirmed on March 10 last year.
The parish of St. James had by far the largest number of new infections, reporting 111 cases. The Corporate Area (Kingston & St. Andrew) followed with 83, and the adjoining parish of St. Catherine confirmed 54 new cases.
The other parishes reporting double-figure increases are St. Ann, with 27, and Hanover, 24.
St. Elizabeth registered a single new case.
Island-wide, there are now 9,405 cases, among which 264 patients are in hospital, 22 of them critically ill and 31 moderately ill.
