Two Jamaicans facing deportation from Turks and Caicos Islands

Two of three Jamaicans who were arrested and charged with unlawful entry in the Turks and Caicos Islands are facing deportation.
 
They were held after a marine branch team intercepted a vessel south of Providenciales on August 30.
 
According to the TCI Sun newspaper, a large sum of cash was found during a search of the boat.
 
The Jamaicans appeared before the Magistrate's Court on September 6 on a charge of unlawful entry. 
 
Two of them pleaded guilty and were fined $1,500.
 
They remain in custody at a detention centre.
 
The third Jamaican pleaded not guilty and is to return to court.
