More than 3,200 persons in Jamaica have died from COVID-19 since the onset of the virus in March 2020.
Two men from St. Elizabeth are the latest persons to die from the virus, increasing the death toll to 3,201.
The Ministry of Health says 148 COVID-19 cases were confirmed from 893 samples on Thursday.
This resulted in a positivity rate of 16.3 per cent.
Hospitalisations from COVID-19 declined by seven to 97.
Seven of the patients are severely ill and four in critical condition.
