UHWI out of space for COVID patients

The surge in COVID-19 cases is pushing public hospitals to capacity with the University Hospital of the West Indies reporting that it has run out of space for COVID patients.

However, in a statement, the hospital said it will not turn away patients.

The University Hospital said it will diagnose and stabilise patients but called for other hospitals, such as National Chest, Kingston Public and Spanish Town, to accept some of them.
