Westmoreland man dies after car plunges into river

A man died on Wednesday after his car plunged into a river in Westmoreland.
 
He has been identified as project engineer 50 year old Donald Gayle, of Ricketts Street in Westmoreland. 
 
About 6:30 p.m., Mr. Gayle was driving his car along the Barham main road, when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle.
 
The car careened off the road and fell into a river.
    
Mr. Gayle was pronounced dead at Savanna-la-mar Hospital.
