From Victoria to Elizabeth II, not much has changed

Radio Jamaica's Earl Moxam and attorney at law Bert Samuels

On Thursday, March 25 the University of the West Indies and the Centre for Reparation Research staged a forum - Royalty, Racism, Republicanism, Reparation: Preparing for the 60 anniversary of nationhood in the CARICOM region.

One of the presenters was attorney-at-law Bert Samuels who drew on the lessons of British colonial history in the Caribbean to reiterate his call for all countries in the region to break from the Monarchy and assume republican status.

Earl Moxam interviewed him afterwards about aspects of his presentation.
