Cayman Opposition renews calls for limit on used-car imports

Opposition Leader Roy McTaggart has submitted a private member's motion to Parliament requesting a government imposed limit on the number of cars imported into Cayman.

McTaggart's motion asks the government to put into action recommendations laid out in the report from the Committee on Vehicle Imports and Transportation

He says there should be an outright ban on short-term work-permit holders buying cars, adding that the importation of vehicles should be limited to Caymanians only.
