Guyana lifts Covid-19 vaccination requirements for entry

Guyana scrapped the use of a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination card for entry into the CARICOM country.

The government of Guyana has taken a decision to lift the COVID vaccine requirement for entry into Guyana with immediate effect from October 7, 2022.

The Chief Medical officer said in a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority on Friday that the Guyana government has taken a decision to lift the COVID vaccine requirement for entry into Guyana from October 7.

But the letter noted that all travellers must continue to observe the public health measures set out by the Ministry of Health.

Previously, travellers had to produce vaccination cards before they were allowed to board a plane to Guyana.
