A 15-member contingent left the island on Wednesday for Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to take part in the Caribbean Youth Table Tennis Championship.
The championship will run from May 6-11 at the East Park Table Tennis Hall in the capital city.
This tournament, which is a qualifying event for the Pan American Youth Championships and World Youth tournaments, will see Jamaica taking part in the boys and girls U19 and U15 singles, U19 and U15 team event and the mixed doubles mixed doubles.
Girls team coach Sandra Riettie and her boys team counterpart, Dale Parham, will guide the players, while Jamaica Table Tennis Association (JTTA) president Andrew Lue will serve as team manager.
