20 year old charged with death of Reggae Girl

A 20 year old has been charged with the murder of Reggae Girl Tarania "Plum Plum" Clarke. Clarke, who last represented the national senior women's team as recently as the Olympic Qualifiers in October, was stabbed to death last Thursday night. Charged with her murder is Rushelle Foster of a Brandon Hill address.

She is scheduled to appear in court to answer to the charges. Meanwhile, Governor General Sir Patrick Sllen has joined those expressing condolences to the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) and Clarke's family.

The Governor General said the young footballer's tragic passing had rocked the nation, noting that she was a very talented young woman, whose athletic prowess made Jamaica proud. The 20 year old was scheduled to take up a scholarship at Daytona College in the United States in January.

RJR Sports has learnt that funeral arrangements for the former Excelsior and Waterhouse captain will be made shortly after an autopsy has been conducted.
