Asafa Powell to run in Ostrava on Thursday

Just days after failing to make Jamaica's World Championship team in the 100 meters, former World Record Holder Asafa Powell will be back on the track this Thursday in the cezh Republic at the IAAF World Challenge Meet.

Powell's club MVP, noted on its twitter page that the athlete was on his way to Ostrava to compete.

The tweet read "Can't keep a good man down as @officialasafa is now flying to Ostrava where he will run in the IAAF World Challenge meet this Thursday.

Powell who finished 7th in the men's 100 meter final in 10.22at the national trials last week Friday said his failure to make in the 100 was because he was not race fit.
