Atomica draws post position 7 for ultra rich Mouttet Mile

The track is expected to come alive, exploding with speed and stamina, as a  full field of 16 of the country's top horses will do battle in Saturday’s inaugural running of the US $125,000 or just over JA $18 million Mouttet Mile.

Derby", Jamaica Cup and 1,000 Guineas winner Atomica will be coming from the middle of the pack after being drawn in post position 7.

Looking to spoil her party will be 2000 Guineas and St Leger winner Blue Vinyl who is drawn on the outside in gate 16.  

Another possible spoiler is Gold Cup winner Mahogany who has drawn an inside post at 3, while his stable companion Jordon Reign’s will break beside him from gate 4.  

2021 Derby winner Calculus and stablemate Duke will run from gates 11 and 5 respectively.

Meanwhile, 2020 Derby winner King Arthur, one of five runners for leading trainer Jason DaCosta, has an outside draw from 14. The maximum field of 16 will face the starter.
