Australia sweep Windies women in ODI series

The West Indies women were condemned to their third straight defeat against Australia after going down by 8 wickets to lose the One Day International Series 3-0 at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua on Wednesday. Batting first, the Caribbean side were bowled out for 180 in 50 overs.

Kyshona Knight top-scored with 40, while Jamaican Chinelle Henry made 39. Skipper Stafanie Taylor added 23.
Megan Schutt led the way with the Aussies with 3-24. She took a hattrick in the last over to bowl out the Windies.

In reply, the visitors got to their target in 31.1 overs, thanks to Alyssa Healy who top-scored with 61. Meg Lanning was left unbeaten on 58 while Elise Perry hit the winning runs and ended on 33 not out. Afy Fletcher and Taylor took the wickets for the Windies. The three match T20 series bowls off on Saturday at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The second and third T20 Internationals will be on September 16 and 18.
