Blake added to line-up for Adidas Racers GP

2011 world 100m champion Yohan Blake has been added to the list of elite athletes to compete at the 4th staging of the Addidas Racers Grand Prix on Saturday, June 8 at the National Stadium. Blake clocked a season's best 9.98 seconds in May, which puts him eighth in the world this year on the IAAF rankings.

Earlier this season, Blake announced that he had parted company with long-time coach Glen Mills but would remain at Racers Track Club under the guidance of Patrick Dawson. Also added the line-up is 100 metre hurdles world record holder Kendra Harrison of the United States. Harrison ran a season's best 12.47 seconds earlier this month.

Blake and Harrison join the likes of Olympic champions Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Asafa Powell, Kirani James and Shaunae Miller-Uibo who were announced earlier this month. Live coverage of the Adidas Racers Grand Prix will be on TVJ, TVJ SN, one spot media dot com and Hitz 92 FM..
