Blake named MLS runner-up Goalkeeper of the Year

Reggae Boyz goalkeeper Andre Blake has been voted runner-up for the 2021 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year award in the United States.

The 31 year Philadelphia Union custodian finished second to New England Revolution's Matt Turner in the voting by MLS players, club technical staff and media.

Blake, a two-time winner of the award, racked up 12 clean sheets in 2021, while making 76 saves.

The 27 year old Turner who is also the goalkeeper for the US  men's national team, is the first goalkeeper in the Revolution's 26-year MLS history to win the award.
