Bravo and Dowrich injured in opening test against New Zealand

West Indies middle order batsman Daren Bravo and wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich did not take the field for the first session on day two of the first test against New Zealand in Hamilton.

According to information from the Windies Media Officer, Bravo has suffered a mild strain to his achilles tendon, while Dowrich picked up an injury to his right hand.

With Dowrich off the field, Shamarh Brooks has assumed responsibility behind the stumps. By all indications, both Bravo and Dowrich are expected to return to the field of play.
