Jamaica's representative Justin Burrowes battled his way during Sunday's final round to a 34th place finish at the 7th Latin America Amateur Championship at the Teeth of the Gog Golf Course in the Dominican Republic. Burrowes entered the final day tied on 23rd with three other golfers.
However, he had his roughest day of the championship after posting a six over par 78 for a combined score of 10 over par 298 to better his 42nd placing at the 2020 edition.
Jamaica's other representative at the championship, William Knibbs, did not make the cut after the first two days.
Aaron Jarvis of the Cayman Islands with a tournament score of seven under par 281, was the winner.
His victory makes him the first Caribbean winner of the championship.
