Chanderpaul scores century in Windies warm-up game

With an imminent test debut insight, Guyanese batsman Tagenarine Chanderpaul scored his sixth first class century as the West Indians trail the Australian Prime Minister's X1 by 88 runs in their first innings reply to 322. The West Indians ended the day on 234-7.

The left handed Chanderpaul shared in a 94 run opening stand with captain Kraigg Brathwaite who made 47. No other batter was able to score 30, as Joshua da Silva with 25, was the next best contributor.

Jamaican Nkrumah Bonner made a duck, Devon Thomas 8, Kyle Mayers 6 and Roston Chase 10. Alzarri Joseph is 14 not out. 

Earlier, Joseph ended with 4-65 as the Prime Minister's X1 resuming on 297-9, were dismissed for 322.

The Caribbean men are using the match as preparation for the second test in Adelaide on December 7 which is a day/night contest, while the series starts next Tuesday evening Jamaica time in Perth.
