Cleveland Sharpe and Llori Sharpe take senior honours in road race cycling

Cleveland Sharpe and Llori Sharpe took top senior honours at the recent Simmonds High Velocity Cycling Club development road race.

Cleveland Sharpe who won the masters open event, also bettered his opponents to win the elite 1-4 kilometre open with Jemar Brissett and Khori Mauricette getting second and third. Llori Sharpe won the women's elite open ahead of Natalie Rapacz.

The boys junior open event was won by Cajur Chue with Kevin Morgan second and Kristin McFarlane third, while Melaika Russell took the girls’ equivalent.

Melaika's sister Chanelle was second with Jorgenna Gill finishing third. The elites raced from Ocho Rios in St Ann to Agualta Vale in St Mary and back, while the juniors went from the same starting point to Port Maria and back.
