Elaine Thompson-Herah and Danniel Thomas-Dodd pushed Jamaica's medal tally to three at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, picking up gold and silver respectively, on Wednesday.
Thompson-Herah won the women's 100m in 10.95 seconds ahead of St. Lucian Julien Alfred with 11.01 and Briton Daryl Neita at 11.07.
The other Jamaican in the race, Natalliah Whyte, finished eigth in 11.32 seconds.
Meanwhile, Thomas-Dodd with a throw of 18.98m finished second behind Sarah Mitton of Canada.
Jamaica's Llyodrica Cameron was fourth with a throw 17.62m.
