CONCACAF announces dates for Gold Cup preliminary round

The governing body of football in the region, CONCACAF has announced that the preliminary round of the Gold Cup qualifiers will run from July 2-6, just four days before the start of the Gold Cup.

All matches will be played in the United States and all encounters will be one legged knockout matches. The Reggae Boyz will await the winner of either Guyana versus Guatemala or the Bahamas versus Guadeloupe to join them in Group “C” with Suriname and Costa Rica.

The 2021 edition of the Gold Cup is set to run from July 10 to August 1. This will be Jamaica's 12th appearance in the history of the tournament.
