Crowne questions efficacy of Jamaica's COVID-19 testing and follow-up process

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Jeremain Brown

Renowned Canadian sports lawyer Dr Emir Crowne has questioned the efficacy of the COVID-19 testing and follow-up system at the nation’s airports after revealing he is yet to get his results, four 4 weeks after travelling to Jamaica and returning to Canada.

Dr Crowne who is a former lecturer  at the UWI Mona, told Radio Jamaica Sports  he arrived in the island from Canada on June 25 and was told his results would be available in to 2-3 days.

He says he returned to Canada on July 8, but is yet to receive his result.

Dr Crowne adds that he is not alone in his experience, and that it is a genuine concern for the health and well-being of Jamaicans. He adds that while the process looks good on paper, what is being practiced has to be carefully looked at.
