Extended wait for athletes to parade on Diamond League circuit

Jamaican athletes will have to wait until at least the month of June before getting a chance to compete on the World Athletics Diamond League Circuit. Track and field's world governing body, World Athletics on Friday postponed three more Diamond League meets, with events in Stockholm (Sweden),  Naples (Italy) and Rabat (Morrocoo) which were scheduled for late May being pushed back due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The Diamond League has now postponed six events in the 2020 season, after meets scheduled for Doha , Shanghai,and another unspecified host city in China were pushed back  with a revised schedule to be announced later on. A total of 15 Diamond League meets are scheduled to be contested this season.
