As expected, Chris Gayle has been included in the West Indies T20 squad, while countryman Fabian Allen has been included in both the T20 and ODI squads for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka.
Gayle and Allen are joined by fellow Jamaican Rovman Powell in the Windies 14- man T20 squad which also sees a return for veteran fast bowler Fidel Edwards.
The Kieron Pollard-led squad also sees another returning veteran player, Dwayne Bravo from injury as well as fellow Trinidadians Evin Lewis and Lendl Simmons who had opted out of the tour of New Zealand.
The rest of the T20 squad reads vice-captain Nicholas Pooran, Andre Fletcher, Jason Holder, Obed McCoy, Akeal Hosein, and Kevin Sinclair. The T20 matches will be played on March 3, 5 and 7 at the Coolidge Cricket Ground.
Meanwhile, Allen is the only Jamaican who has been selected in the 13-man ODI squad. Barbadian Shai Hope makes a return to international cricket as vice-captain of the team after being dropped for the away test series to New Zealand last year and declining the recent tour of Bangladesh.
Darren Bravo who declined the tour of Bangladesh also returns to the team. The sqiad is completed by captain Pollard, Holder, Hosien, Alzarri Joseph, Lewis, Kyle Mayers, Jason Mohammed, Pooran, Sinclair and Romario Shepherd. The three match ODI series will be held on March 10. 12 and 14 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
