Injury forces Gayle out of Lankan Premier League T20

There will be one fewer Jamaican in the Lankan Premier League after hard hitting opener and the leading run scorer in T20 cricket, Chris Gayle pulled out of the upcoming competition due to injury.

According to reports, Gayle's unavailability had been rumored and the talismanic left hander confirmed on Thursday with the Kandy Tuskers.

Gayle's withdrawal means Chadwick Walton and Andre Russell who made a u-turn decision, will be the Jamaicans in the competition. The first match of the LPL is scheduled to be played on November 26.
