Jamaica cops George Teale Trophy Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships

Jamaica's team to the 65th Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships returned to the island buoyed as the women captured the coveted George Teale Trophy, while Jamaica took the runner-up spot for the Arthur Ziadie Trophy.

Female captain Emily Mayne teamed up with newcomer Cameron March on the final day after posting 12 over par 156 in the third round for a three-day total of 34 over par 466 as Jamaica won by a whopping 12 shots ahead of perennial champions Puerto Rico.

 

The top four men in the third round Justin Burrowes, William Knibbs, Rocco Lopez and Owen Samuda posted a combined score of 31 over par 895 which was 35 strokes behind winners Puerto Rico.
