Jamaica dominating the Windwards at CWI U19 tournament

Jamaica are large and in charge at stumps on day two of their three day Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Under-19 second round game against the Windward Islands at Cumberland in St Vincent.

Resuming the day at 69-2 in response to Jamaica's 265 all out, the Windwards were blown away for 172, giving the Jamaicans first innings points and a 93 run lead.

Captain Sanjay Walker picked up 3-29, while Jordan Johnson had 2-12 and Reon Edwards 2-18.

Batting a second time, Jamaica lost both openers with just 30 runs on the board. However, Johnson with a top score of 82 and Steven Wedderburn who made 52, shared in a 131 run third wicket stand to take them to 161-2.

However both feel in the same over.

Brian Barnes who made 32 and Walker 28 not out, put on 64 runs for the 5th wicket before the innings ended at 229-5. Set 322 to win, the Windwards were 29-2 at stumps.
