JCA pursuing opportunities to host international matches in 2021

Voice of JCA president Wilford "Billy" Heaven

As the nation continues to grapple with the resumption of live sports, the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) is actively pursuing whether it will be granted the right by Cricket West Indies (CWI) to host international cricket in 2021.

President of the JCA Wilford "Billy" Heaven, says while COVID-19 has changed the landscape in terms of the increased cost of organizing bubbles to host international series, the local governing body is actively pursuing opportunities.

With CEO of Cricket West Indies (CWI), Johnny Grave recently defending the board's treatment of territorial boards contending they had been "equitable" in its allocation of international fixtures and financial resources, Heaven says the jury in still out on the allocation of matches.
