The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has stood by its decision to promote Montego Bay United for next season of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) in a release sent to Wadadah on Wednesday afternoon.
Following its meeting on Tuesday with the St James-based club, the JFF said: "Having reviewed correspondences between the JFF and Wadadah, it was confirmed that Wadadah failed to register their players and officials on the JFF connect platform by the stated deadline of 5:00 pm on October 1, 2021."
Based on this ruling, Montego Bay United is set to replace UWI FC in the 2021-2022 season which organizers plan to start later this year.
