JTTA addresses absence from major international tournaments

Jamaica Table Tennis Association president Godfrey Lothian has shed light on the country's inability to qualify players to major international tournaments. Speaking with Radio Jamaica Sports recently, Lothian admitted that there has been a steady decline in the team's world rankings since he took office in 2013.

However, Lothian added that changes at the international level have made qualification to major tournaments more difficult. He also revealed that steps are being taken to address the slide. Jamaica is currently ranked 129th in the world men's team rankings and 128th in the women's team rankings.
