Local refs staying sharp despite cancellation of football season

Voice of JFF Referees Department head Victor Stewart

Manager of the Referees Department at the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Victor Stewart says he plans to arrange small workshops to keep local officials sharp and fit during the Covid-19 pandemic. Last week, the JFF cancelled all football on the island until September which means referees will be off the pitch for at least another three months.

Stewart says Jamaican officials who have experience at the FIFA and CONCACAF levels, will keep active through the CONCACAF Refereeing Centre of Excellence.
