Lothian dismisses claim that close affiliation with JOA boss influenced breakdown of JTTA mediation process

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Renardo Brown

Incumbent Jamaica Table Tennis Association president, Godfrey Lothian has rubbished claims that his relationship with Jamaica Olympic Association president, Christopher Samuda could have influenced the JOA's decision to pull the plug on their mediation plans with challenger Andrew Lue.

One source close to the matter told Radio Jamaica Sports that the JOA suggested that due to the court ruling, it felt more comfortable referring the matter to the Dispute Resolution Foundation.

A disappointed Lue told Radio Jamaica Sports that he was surprised the issue was not resolved by the JOA on Tuesday.

The JTTA boss hopes the matter will be resolved soon, so the association can get back to business.
