Minor setback to repair work on National Stadium track

Repair work on the National Stadium track has received a minor setback as the project nears completion. Major Desmon Brown, General Manager of Independence Park Limited (IPL) which oversees the maintenance of the facility he revealed that the project was 85 percent completed.

Major Brown says he has been in talks with local sporting associations including the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) about the use of the facility.

The MVP Velocity Track Fest Series in August 2020 was the last action inside the Stadium. In the meantime work on the relaying of the track is expected to be completed by later this month.
