Former vice president of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA), Mark Neita says if needed, he is willing to throw his support behind former national player Nehemiah Perry who has announced an intention to challenge for the JCA presidency.
Neita, who served as vice-president in Wilford 'Billiy' Heaven's first term, challenged the JCA boss at the association's Annual General Meeting in February before losing 62-37.
Neita, who is president of Melbourne Cricket Club, says while he has no intentions to run for the top job he is willing to support Perry.
While happy that Perry has made his intention clear early, Neita has warned that he will face major challenges should heaven decide on running for a third term. The JCA elections are due in 2021.
