PFJL to ask JFF for additional time to start and finish 2020/21 Premier League

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Spencer Darlington

With the National Premier League yet to get underway, the organizers of the Professional Football Jamaica Limited (PFJL) are set to ask the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) for additional time in which to start and end the season.

The season was originally scheduled to end next month. Should the league go ahead, the PFJL is pursuing the option of a bubble-like competition and has set an April 21 date for government's approval.

There is also concern as to whether the premier league would be recognized if it's played over a shortened and knock out format.
