Reggae Boy and Watford defender Adrian Mariappa has contracted the Covid 19 corona virus. The 33 year old received a positive test result after the entire Watford first team squad were tested on Tuesday. Mariappa says he is not experiencing any symptoms and finds it strange that he picked up the virus.
He says the only time he leaves his house is to jog in the mornings. He will now be in self-isolation for a week. Two support staff members at Watford have also tested positive for the virus.
The Premier League has been suspended since March because of the Covid-19 pandemic, with 92 fixtures remaining.
He is the second national player after Reggae Girl Nicole McClure to contract the virus.
