Reggae Girlz seek second victory in Olympic Qualifiers

Group 3 leaders Jamaica will seek to solidify their quest to advance to next summer's Olympic Games when they face Barbados in the second game of the CONCACAF Caribbean first leg qualifiers on Friday inside the National Stadium at 6:30. In their first game on Monday, the Reggae Girlz demolished Cuba 12-1.

Jamaica's attack on Friday will be bolstered by the inclusion of leading striker Kadija “Bunny” Shaw, who skipped the Cuba game, having arrived in the island in the early hours of Monday morning. But in Shaw's absence on Monday, other players were lethal with the goals coming from Cheyna Matthews who had a four-timer and Tiffany Cameron who hit the target twice.

In the day's opener at 4:00, Cuba who recovered from Monday's hammering to beat Barbados 6-1, will face the US Virgin Islands who went down 4-1 to St Lucia in Wednesday's double header.

The three group winners will advance to next year's CONCACAF Championship with the top two teams qualifying for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
