Current interim coach Floyd Reifer says he will throw his hat in the ring to be the next full-time head coach of the West Indies senior men's team with the application process now opened. Cricket West Indies (CWI) president Ricky Skeritt on Monday seemingly went back on his word in appointing a coach in 2020.
In an interview after the ICC World Cup, the CWI boss stated that Reifer would remaining interim coach at least until the end of the year. However, Skeritt announced on Tuesday that application for the permanent head coaching position is now open until September 20, with the hope of appointing a permanent coach ahead of the Afghanistan tour in November. In an interview with RJR Sports, Reifer noted that he is interested in the role on a permanent basis.
