Jamaica Scorpions player Pete Salmon has been cleared by Cricket West Indies (CWI) to bowl in regional cricket.
Salmon made his regional debut back in 2018. He was banned from bowling in January 2020 along with Scorpions Captain John Campbell.
CWI confirmed that opinion reports from independent assessors at Loughborough University found that the actions of the two bowlers exceeded the permissible limit of 15 degrees.
Salmon's action was reported on his first-class debut, the fourth-round match between Jamaica and Guyana in February 2020 in Guyana.
Salmon's figures were very impressive; he finished with a match haul of 8-110, which won him the Player-of-the-Match award to set up a narrow 7 run victory for the Scorpions.
Radio Jamaica Sports has been informed that Salmon who did remedial work with Scorpions coach Andre Coley and coaches at the St Catherine Cricket Club, was informed by CWI on the weekend that he has been cleared to bowl in regional cricket.
