Similar selection system for Commonwealth Games as World Champs

A similar system like that for the World Championships will be used to select Jamaica’s team for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham as the one used to select the World Championships team for Eugene.

The top 3 will secure automatic qualification to the World Athletics Championships once they have attained the qualifying standard, and have first right of refusal for the Commonwealth Games.

In the meantime, junior athletes who have scheduling conflicts will be specially facilitated at the National Junior Championships according to JAA president Garth Gayle.
