The West Indies have leveled their three match Twenty20 series against India at 1-1 after a comfortable 8 wicket win over the hosts on Sunday. Electing to bowl first, the Caribbean men were able to restrict India to 170-7 in their 20 overs. Shivam Dube led the way for the Indians with 54, while Rishabh Pant supported with 33. Hayden Walsh Junior was the pick of the West Indies bowlers with 2-28, while Keswrick Williams had 2-30.
In reply, the Windies got off to a solid start, posting 73 runs before Evin Lewis was dismissed for 40. Shimron Hetmyer also scored a brisk 23 before being dismissed. However, opener Lendl Simmons with 67 and Nicholas Pooran 38, shared in a unbroken 61 run third wicket partnership to take the Caribbean side to victory at 173-2.
Washington Sundar and Ravi Jadeja both had a wicket each. The third and decisive game will be played on Wednesday in Mumbai.
