Simmons satisfied with make-up of squad ahead of first test against England

Voice of head coach of the West Indies team, Phil Simmons

Head coach of the West Indies team, Phil Simmons says he has no regrets over the manner in which the 15-member squad was selected for the three test series against England.

With the series bowling off on Wednesday, there have been suggestions recently that batsman Joshua da Silva should have been added to the squad for his performances in the warm-up games where he scored a century and a half century.

But, Simmons has put his trust in the process done prior to leaving the Caribbean.

Meanwhile, with all the media talk of the team's bowling prowess and the lack of batting productivity, the Trinidadian believes the team can only be successful if it executes well in all three departments of the game.
