Spain the latest major casualty at FIFA World Cup

There was a major casualty at the FIFA World Cup on Tuesday as Spain were sent packing by Morocco, while Portugal, without Cristiano Ronaldo in their starting line-up, put in a six star performance against Switzerland. Morocco prevailed 3-0 on penalties over Spain after a 0-0 regulation and extra time draw.

The day’s other game saw Portugal hammering Switzerland 6-1 with a hattrick by forward Goncalo Ramos. 

Quarter-final action kicks off on Friday with 5-time champions Brazil facing Croatia starting at 10:00 am and the Netherlands playing 2-time winners Argentina starting at 2:00 pm.
