The Jamaica Premier League's new season has been pushed back from December to January next year. This was disclosed by chairman of the Professional Football Jamaica Limited (PFJL) Chris Williams, at a sponsorship signing on Tuesday.

Last season the matches were played at almost one venue but Williams says there will still be the one weekend venue; however this time around will be a little different with the Montego Bay Sports Complex to host matches in addition to the UWI Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence.

As for spectator support, this time the fans could get a chance to see their team play. So far, the PFJL has reconfirmed 50 percent of the sponsors who were aboard the league last season.
